Well, to those of you reading this right now. You must have heard about WCCX through some means and for you to have heard about this blog means you're either very lucky or you know some people who know some people.
Know what I'm sayin'? Yeah, you know what I'm sayin.
So I'm Bill and I'd really like to blog to you today about becoming a Jehovah's wit--oh.
(We're not doing that one? Which one are we doing again? Oh the radio station thing, right, I'll get on that)
So I'm Bill and I'd really like to blog to you today about WCCX and how awesome we truly are. I need you, reader, to take your preconceived notions of awesome and defenestrate them like you would a belligerent raccoon with rabies attacking a squid with it's tentacles wrapped around a bear on a moped. Yeah all that, out the window. Cause WCCX, well we're pretty F***ing sweet, just in case you were wondering.
This blog's purpose (yes it does have one!) is to tell you what we think is good in music right now. We pretty much review whatever it is that we get in here at WCCX and we review the good stuff in order to assist you with the ever-gnawing question of "WTF should I listen to WCCX?"
We're glad you asked. If you're here to look for reviews like, "OMG THAT IS THE SUXORZS WHY WOULD YOU EVER BUY THAT ZOMG, THAT IS BAAAAAAD!!!!!!1!!1!1111!!!" you should probably head on out, cause we are only planning on reviewing music that we feel is of a good calibur and worth listening to.
I myself am a fan of more rock related music, punk, progressive rock, and anything in between.
Jenny O, on the other hand enjoys a different kind of awesome, many people consider her the resident indie afiicionado. She loves songs with powerful lyrics and good pure tone. If asked what her all time favorite musical artists are she have to say Sufjan Stevens, Rilo Kiley, The Decemberists, and The Mountain Goats to name a few. Although she has her own musical style, she's pretty much open to anything.
Sarah, likes things on the peppier yet mellow, upbeat yet calm stylings of Joshua Radin, Secondhand Serenade, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, The Fratellis, Melee, Matt Nathanson, Lifehouse and movie soundtracks.
So if you're truly looking for that unique "thang" let us know and we'll probably find something for you to listen. Stay tuned and look here for constant updates, i promise they will be frequent!
